Our charter center where you can rent a catamaran is located in Marina Kornati in Biograd na Moru, a small town near Zadar. Marina Kornati is in the heart of Dalmatia and is an ideal starting point for exploring the Zadar archipelago.
Although they are not as popular as the large southern islands in the Split area, the Zadar archipelago boasts a large number of beautiful, charming islands and islets, which is why it is considered the most diverse part of the Adriatic.
In the Zadar archipelago there are many large and small, wild and tame islands, inhabited and uninhabited, and they all offer beautiful crystal clear sea and numerous bays and beaches where you can swim and enjoy. Because of this, they are an ideal destination for vacation and exploration by catamaran.
Head north on a luxury catamaran to explore the Zadar archipelago. Laid out in several rows, these islands follow the coast in parallel and reveal numerous sea passages and canals - the Pašman and Zadar canals, the Srednji canal and the Iški canal, which you can sail through. The Pašman canal stretches between the island of Pašman and the mainland, while the Zadar channel is a little further north and is located between the island of Ugljan and the mainland. The middle canal, as its name reveals, is located between the islands of Pašman and Ugljan on one side, and Dugi otok on the other. In between are located the island of Iž and the Iški canal. Just remember that our catamarans and sailing boats can`t cross under the bridge Ugljan – Pašman!!!
All these waterways hide thousands of beautiful coves and beaches along the way, as well as charming places where you can anchor your catamaran and completely relax. Discover the untouched nature of the Zadar archipelago and sail on a catamaran among the beautiful islands. Sailing on a catamaran will certainly not be boring because along the way you will be able to discover numerous hidden places that are only accessible from the sea.
Anchor in numerous coves, immerse yourself in the many sandy bays and swim and dive among the fish. If you prefer to spend the night in populated areas, many island villages have marinas where you can anchor and spend a peaceful night. If you prefer to sleep in a natural environment, most of these islands have numerous anchorages on buoys that will provide you with safety. All the islands in the central part of the archipelago: Pašman, Ugljan, and especially Dugi otok, are known for their many inhabited places with a rich history and culture. Explore these islands and learn about local legends and stories and enjoy the warm hospitality.
And while the islands in the central part of the Zadar archipelago are long and large, and have numerous villages, in the northern part they split into dozens of small islands and rocks, each of which can boast of its own beauty. The islands of Rivanj, Sestrunj and Zverinac are squeezed between the islands of Ugljan and Dugi otok. These small and sparsely populated islands are a great choice if you want a real vacation away from the crowds and noise. Rivanj is a small island with only about 30 inhabitants. The village is located on the southwest side of the island and is sheltered from the wind bura. This island is an ideal choice if you want to try your hand at sport fishing just make sure you have a valid license.
Sestrunj is a slightly larger island with slightly more inhabitants. The interesting fact about Sestrunj is that the village is located on the top of the island, and not on the coast as it is usual for the Dalmatian islands. There are many coves where you can anchor and swim and enjoy the clear sea. The next in line of these three little pearls of the Adriatic is island Zverinac. This island is located between Dugi otok and the island of Tun and has only one village where several dozen inhabitants live. Zverinac offers beautiful beaches and coves where you can rest and enjoy in sounds of nature.
Sail on a catamaran further to the north where five beautiful islands are located - Molat, Olib, Ist, Premuda and Silba. These islands are known for their beautiful sandy beaches and bays and are the perfect place for all sailors. A large number of these islands have anchorages with buoys that will provide you with safe anchorage during the night. Enjoy the peace and quiet and the song of crickets and waves because there are no cars and the traffic is very limited. Peace and quiet, beautiful landscapes and warm-hearted locals are what these small islands at the very end of Zadar's archipelago are proud of, and we believe you will enjoy them.
During your luxurious vacation on a catamaran, don’t skip out on the numerous restaurants where you can enjoy fantastic local cuisine.
Try fine Adriatic fish or squids, fresh meat, local vegetables, and numerous specialties that you will surely enjoy and that will complete the experience of Dalmatia.
